Somehow, Spain gets it into his head that Romano hates his guts. I don't care how, really. Maybe Romano makes a comment that crosses the line, or maybe some malicious third-party convinces him, or maybe Spain reads some "what is he really thinking" article in a magazine or something and tries to analyze Romano's normal tsundereness. Spain is heartbroken by this "revelation" and starts avoiding Romano. At first, Romano has no idea why Spain is acting so strange all of a sudden, but eventually he finds out and realizes that he needs to set things right because he wuvs him~.
